Thank you for making our 4th Annual Awards Celebration a success!
On August 8, 2018, we gathered at the Citizen Hotel to celebrate our 4th year providing legal and advocacy services to low-wage workers in the greater Sacramento area.
We honored Pamela Lopez with the Worker Bravery Award for raising awareness about sexual harassment in the capitol, Autumn Gonzalez and Ruth Ibarra with the Legal Advocate Awards for responding to dozens of requests for presentations on immigrant rights in Northern California and Assemblymember David Chiu with the Legislative Advocate Awards for authoring AB 450, the Immigrant Workers Protection Act.
Executive Director Daniela Urban also spoke of the achievements of the Center in the last year, including expanding advocacy to San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties, sponsoring the Center’s first state wide bill – AB 2613 – which would have required employer to pay a penalty to workers when they do not pay them on time, and the addition of Ana Castrellon as Program Administrator.
We especially want to thank our event sponsors and hope that their leadership will inspire you to support our work with a donation.
