For CWR, the starting point for access to justice is that workers experiencing workplace abuse actually recognize it as a legal issue and can receive accurate information on their rights and where they can go for assistance. That\u2019s why a core component of our work stems from our Workers\u2019 Rights Clinics. These clinics offer workers the opportunity for one-on-one legal consultations for all low-wage workers regardless of immigration status.<\/p>\n

The purpose of our clinics is to provide accurate, useful and free information to low-wage workers about their legal rights and where to go if a violation of the law is identified. We hope that each worker we speak with leaves the clinic ready to stand up for their rights in the workplace.<\/p>\n

Partnering with volunteer law students from UC Davis and McGeorge schools of law and volunteer attorneys, the clinics serve over a thousand workers each year.
