{"id":1447,"date":"2014-09-22T11:12:11","date_gmt":"2014-09-22T18:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=1447"},"modified":"2023-08-28T16:21:32","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T23:21:32","slug":"our-first-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightscenter.org\/es\/news\/our-first-victory\/","title":{"rendered":"nuestra primera victoria!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"background-color: #e8910e; margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px; padding: 14px; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Desde nuestra celebraci\u00f3n inaugural el 20 de agosto, ya hemos tenido un impacto en las vidas de los trabajadores de Sacramento.<\/span><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>El 16 de Septiembre de 2014, Anna Ratner, estudiante de Derecho de UC Davis, represent\u00f3 a Sabita, trabajadora del comercio minorista, en su audiencia de apelaci\u00f3n de las prestaciones del seguro de desempleo.<\/p>\n<p>En los 15 a\u00f1os que Sabita hab\u00eda trabajado para su empresa antes de ser despedida, nunca hab\u00eda sido disciplinada. Su empleador le concedi\u00f3 una tarjeta regalo de 25 d\u00f3lares para la tienda por su asistencia perfecta; pero cuando la utiliz\u00f3, la acusaron de deshonestidad y la despidieron.<\/p>\n<p>Anna, una de las estudiantes directoras de la nueva Cl\u00ednica de Derechos Laborales de Davis, vio la injusticia en la denegaci\u00f3n de prestaciones a Sabita. Prepar\u00f3 pruebas en apoyo del caso de Sabita y calm\u00f3 la preocupaci\u00f3n de Sabita por testificar en la vista.<\/p>\n<p>Tras la apasionada defensa de Anna en la vista, el juez de lo contencioso-administrativo tom\u00f3 su decisi\u00f3n ese mismo d\u00eda y determin\u00f3 que Sabita ten\u00eda derecho a percibir prestaciones de desempleo.<\/p>\n<p>El Centro para los Derechos Laborales se enorgullece de haber representado a Sabita, y estamos encantados de declarar nuestra primera victoria en favor de los trabajadores con salarios bajos.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"background-color: #e8910e; margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px; padding: 14px; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Este es solo el comienzo!<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"background-color: #808184; margin-left: 20px; margin-right: 20px; padding: 14px; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">La semana pasada, once estudiantes de derecho de UC Davis recibieron capacitaci\u00f3n para defender a los trabajadores con salarios bajos en la nueva Cl\u00ednica de Derechos de los Trabajadores, que se inaugurar\u00e1 este mi\u00e9rcoles 24 de septiembre en Davis.
