{"id":1905,"date":"2018-04-18T17:49:37","date_gmt":"2018-04-19T00:49:37","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=1905"},"modified":"2023-08-28T16:12:52","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T23:12:52","slug":"cwr-sponsors-legislation-to-compensate-workers-for-late-paychecks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightscenter.org\/es\/news\/cwr-sponsors-legislation-to-compensate-workers-for-late-paychecks\/","title":{"rendered":"CWR PATROCINA UNA LEY PARA COMPENSAR A LOS TRABAJADORES POR LOS RETRASOS EN EL PAGO DE SUS CHEQUES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El 18 de Abril de 2018, la Directora Ejecutiva del Centro de Derechos Laborales, Daniela Urban, testific\u00f3 ante el Comit\u00e9 de Trabajo y Empleo de la Asamblea urgiendo a los miembros a apoyar el proyecto de ley AB 2613 (Reyes), que impondr\u00eda una multa a los empleadores, pagar\u00eda a cada empleado efectivo, cuando los salarios no se paguen a tiempo.\u00a0 Es la primera vez que el Centro de Derechos Laborales patrocina un proyecto de ley en la legislatura de California y se une a las organizaciones asociadas, la Asociaci\u00f3n de Abogados Laboralistas de California y Legal Aid at Work, en la presentaci\u00f3n de este proyecto de ley.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>AB 2613 pretende imponer responsabilidad a los empleadores que no paguen a sus empleados en la fecha designada como d\u00eda de pago por el empleador, tal y como exige la ley. Un retraso en el pago del salario podr\u00eda tener resultados potencialmente devastadores, especialmente para los trabajadores que viven de cheque a cheque, y actualmente la ley no prev\u00e9 una sanci\u00f3n inmediata pagadera al empleado por el retraso en el pago del salario, para que pueda pagar la comida, el alquiler y otras necesidades diarias.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AB 2613 fue escrita para ayudar a todos los trabajadores de California a detener el pago atrasado de salarios y proporcionar un sueldo fijo a los empleados que pueden haber incurrido en sus propios gastos personales como resultado de que un empleador no pag\u00f3 los salarios a tiempo.
