AB 2847 hubiera extendido los beneficios de desempleo a todo trabajador sin importar el estado migratorio. Esta pandemia ha dado a luz a varias disparidades, especialmente en comunidad inmigrantes que arman la fuerza laboral en el estado, mantienen empleos esenciales, y contribuyen a la vitalidad econ\u00f3mica. Encima de esto muchos trabajadores indocumentados inmigrantes pagan impuestos a sistemas que los excluyen cuando los necesitan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una de las conversaciones m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles, y tristemente m\u00e1s frecuente, que el equipo de CWR tiene con trabajadores desde el inicio de la pand\u00e9mica ha sido tener que explicar a trabajadores sin autorizaci\u00f3n de trabajo que no son elegibles para beneficios de desempleo. Aunque organizaciones de asistencia mutua y el proyecto de Asistencia para Inmigrantes Afectados por la Pandemia de la COVID-19 proveyeron pagos de una sola vez a personas en severa dificultad econ\u00f3mica, estos esfuerzos palidecen en comparaci\u00f3n con los beneficios semanales que provee el sistema de desempleo.
