{"id":3001,"date":"2023-03-25T16:17:24","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T23:17:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightscenter.org\/?p=3001"},"modified":"2023-08-18T16:21:43","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T23:21:43","slug":"cwr-connects-with-over-300-workers-during-weekend-outreach-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightscenter.org\/es\/news\/cwr-connects-with-over-300-workers-during-weekend-outreach-events\/","title":{"rendered":"El CWR Conecta con m\u00e1s de 300 Trabajadores Durante los Actos de Divulgaci\u00f3n del Fin de Semana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Detalles del evento: El 25 de marzo, todo el equipo del Centro de los Derechos de los Trabajadores realiz\u00f3 actividades de divulgaci\u00f3n comunitaria en 3 eventos diferentes en Sacramento.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El primer evento, Youth, Parks &amp; Community Enrichment Annual Youth Employment and Resource Fair, se celebr\u00f3 en el Ayuntamiento del Centro de Sacramento en persona por primera vez desde el inicio de la pandemia. La organizaci\u00f3n ofreci\u00f3 talleres de formaci\u00f3n laboral para pre adultos y j\u00f3venes adultos (de 13 a 24 a\u00f1os). A lo largo del evento, organizaron diversas sesiones en las que ofrecieron a los miembros de la comunidad las herramientas necesarias para solicitar empleo. Ofrecieron talleres sobre curr\u00edculos, tuvieron a un fot\u00f3grafo haciendo fotos de portada, un taller sobre \"c\u00f3mo vestirse para el trabajo\", sesiones informativas sobre empleos en la ciudad y ayuda con las solicitudes. El CWR estaba all\u00ed para proporcionar a los reci\u00e9n incorporados a la poblaci\u00f3n activa informaci\u00f3n..\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El segundo evento, la celebraci\u00f3n anual del D\u00eda de C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez, comenz\u00f3 en el parque Southside, donde las organizaciones locales y los residentes se reunieron para compartir espacios, recursos, m\u00fasica y escuchar a diversos oradores que hablaron sobre la lucha continua por los derechos de los trabajadores y la b\u00fasqueda del respeto y la dignidad para todos. El CWR habl\u00f3 con m\u00e1s de 100 personas durante esta celebraci\u00f3n y la Directora Ejecutiva del Centro, Daniela Urban, pronunci\u00f3 un discurso sobre la importancia de conocer sus protecciones y derechos como trabajador (v\u00eddeo enlazado m\u00e1s abajo)\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despu\u00e9s de celebrar el legado de C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez, dos miembros del equipo de CWR se dirigieron al centro comunitario Mack Road Valley High para asistir a una feria de recursos en el sur de Sacramento. El evento se centr\u00f3 en los recursos de salud y bienestar para los vecindarios de los alrededores. Se reparti\u00f3 un almuerzo de barbacoa para todos los asistentes, as\u00ed como actividades para los ni\u00f1os.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En cada uno de estos actos, el CWR destac\u00f3 tres derechos laborales principales:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Salario m\u00ednimo: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A principios de 2023, el salario m\u00ednimo en California se elev\u00f3 a 15.50 d\u00f3lares la hora (y seguir\u00e1 subiendo cada a\u00f1o con el coste de la vida). Este aumento tambi\u00e9n afecta a los trabajadores asalariados o exentos, que ahora deben cobrar un m\u00ednimo de 64,480 d\u00f3lares al a\u00f1o para estar exentos de los requisitos de horas extras, comidas y descansos. Las violaciones de las leyes sobre salario\/sueldo m\u00ednimo pueden denunciarse en la oficina de la Divisi\u00f3n de Cumplimiento de las Normas Laborales del Comisionado de Trabajo.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Derecho de los trabajadores a organizarse: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Ley Nacional de Relaciones Laborales (NLRA) protege la capacidad de los trabajadores para organizar un sindicato y negociar con su empleador. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 protegido cuando habla de sus condiciones de trabajo y de su salario con sus compa\u00f1eros de trabajo o con los representantes sindicales, y si decide emprender acciones para mejorar sus condiciones de trabajo. \u00a1No necesita formar parte de un sindicato para permanecer unidos y luchar!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Permiso por Enfermedad Remunerada en California: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los empresarios est\u00e1n obligados a proveer a los trabajadores un m\u00ednimo de 24 horas (3 d\u00edas) de permiso por enfermedad en California. Los trabajadores deben acumular al menos una hora por cada 30 horas trabajadas, y tienen derecho a la ausencia por enfermedad pagada si han trabajado al menos 30 d\u00edas en el Estado. Tambi\u00e9n es un requisito que los empleadores provean a sus trabajadores un tal\u00f3n de pago detallado que muestre la cantidad de tiempo por enfermedad que han acumulado, as\u00ed como las deducciones de su salario. Las infracciones de el permiso  por enfermedad remunerada de California pueden denunciarse a la Oficina del Comisionado Laboral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CWR reparti\u00f3 folletos en los que se explicaban los derechos de los trabajadores a un entorno laboral seguro y saludable. La pandemia de Covid-19 ha demostrado que muchas de las protecciones que tienen los trabajadores son insuficientes o no se comunican adecuadamente.
