El Centro para los Derechos Laborales asisti\u00f3 al evento de Proyecto Optimismo Feria de Recursos Familiares de Vuelta al Clases el 12 de Agosto en el Parque Comunitario Howe para hablar con los padres sobre sus derechos laborales en preparaci\u00f3n para esta transici\u00f3n al a\u00f1o escolar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando los ni\u00f1os enferman, los padres a menudo se apresuran a buscar la manera de tomarse tiempo libre en el trabajo sin perder el sueldo. El Centro de Derechos Laborales entiende estas complejas leyes laborales y puede ayudar a los padres a determinar las mejores formas de solicitar prestaciones de sustituci\u00f3n salarial mientras cuidan de su familia.  En la feria de recursos, compartimos informaci\u00f3n sobre el seguro estatal de discapacidad, el permiso familiar pagado y el seguro de desempleo. Entender c\u00f3mo utilizar las compensaciones salariales de California a trav\u00e9s del EDD es incre\u00edblemente importante para miles de trabajadores de todo el estado que pueden estar ansiosos por la carga financiera adicional que puede suponer tomarse el tiempo para cuidar de s\u00ed mismos o de familiares enfermos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La administradora del programa del Centro de Derechos Laborales, Kimberli Bautista Garc\u00eda, habl\u00f3 con un miembro de la comunidad que quer\u00eda acceder al permiso familiar pagado, pero se enfrentaba a obst\u00e1culos para obtener sus prestaciones.
