En el a\u00f1o que lleva abierta la l\u00ednea, hemos podido atender a m\u00e1s de 24 mil trabajadores que han llamado en busca de ayuda y recursos. Esta asombrosa haza\u00f1a ha sido posible gracias a la financiaci\u00f3n y el apoyo que hemos recibido de organizaciones asociadas, organismos gubernamentales y donantes individuales, as\u00ed como de nuestro nuevo personal, y de los voluntarios que han estado disponibles durante m\u00e1s horas para atender el aumento de llamadas que hemos recibido.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El volumen de llamadas que recibimos es una clara indicaci\u00f3n de la necesidad que la l\u00ednea de ayuda cubri\u00f3 para nuestros trabajadores. Un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s del inicio de esta pandemia, las condiciones de los trabajadores con salarios bajos que est\u00e1n en activo siguen siendo dif\u00edciles e impredecibles. Aunque a veces se les califica de \"trabajadores esenciales\", muchos trabajadores con salarios bajos se enfrentan a la inseguridad econ\u00f3mica a medida que los lugares de trabajo cambian de actividad con cada oleada del virus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n seguimos ayudando a los trabajadores que necesitan desesperadamente los beneficios del desempleo, que no han podido volver a trabajar y que siguen necesitando una red de seguridad que les ayude a capear la pandemia. Seguimos presionando para que se incluya a los trabajadores indocumentados en nuestro sistema de red de seguridad y les proporcionamos los recursos comunitarios que se han reunido para ayudar a apoyarlos durante este tiempo.
