Desde el 21 de Marzo de 2014, he incorporado una nueva corporaci\u00f3n de beneficios p\u00fablicos sin fines de lucro llamada Centro de Derechos Laborales. El Centro proporcionar\u00e1 asistencia jur\u00eddica y de defensa a los trabajadores de bajos ingresos de Sacramento y sus alrededores.<\/p>\n<p>La etapa de investigaci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n se extender\u00e1 hasta el 2 de Mayo - durante la cual continuar\u00e9 explorando potenciales programas y asociaciones para la organizaci\u00f3n. No se asumir\u00e1 ning\u00fan compromiso formal hasta que finalice esta etapa de investigaci\u00f3n y quede claro que contamos con una base s\u00f3lida para lanzar con \u00e9xito la organizaci\u00f3n y llevar a cabo su misi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #e8910e;\">Apoyo comunitario<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Desde mi reciente regreso a Sacramento, me he reunido con muchos defensores clave que ya trabajan para promover los derechos de los trabajadores con salarios bajos en el valle de Sacramento. Todos han apoyado maravillosamente la idea de prestar servicios jur\u00eddicos adicionales en la comunidad. Estoy especialmente agradecida a las organizaciones de servicios jur\u00eddicos existentes que han transmitido valiosos conocimientos sobre c\u00f3mo servir a nuestra comunidad.<\/p>\n<p>Los abogados locales y los miembros de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Abogados Laboralistas de California ya han expresado su voluntad de ofrecerse como voluntarios y participar en los proyectos de servicios jur\u00eddicos del Centro.<\/p>\n<p>Los sindicatos tambi\u00e9n han acogido con satisfacci\u00f3n los planes del Centro, no s\u00f3lo para prestar servicios jur\u00eddicos a los trabajadores con bajos ingresos, sino la visi\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia de abogar por la mejora de las condiciones laborales de todos los trabajadores del \u00e1rea de Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p>Y por \u00faltimo, las facultades de derecho locales dijeron que esperan con inter\u00e9s la oportunidad de que sus estudiantes participen en las Cl\u00ednicas de Derechos Laborales que se llevar\u00e1n a cabo conjuntamente con la Sociedad de Asistencia Jur\u00eddica - Centro de Derecho Laboral. Gracias a los recursos, la reputaci\u00f3n y la experiencia del LAS-ELC, estamos pensando en poner en marcha una nueva sede de la cl\u00ednica en la zona este oto\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #e8910e;\">Formaci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>La organizaci\u00f3n no podr\u00eda haber tomado forma tan r\u00e1pidamente sin la primera miembro de la junta del Centro de Derechos Laborales, Mariko Yoshihara. La experiencia de Mariko como directora pol\u00edtica de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Abogados Laboralistas de California y su dedicaci\u00f3n a los servicios jur\u00eddicos comunitarios la convierten en la colaboradora perfecta.<\/p>\n<p>Mariko y yo seguiremos trabajando juntas para ocuparnos de los numerosos obst\u00e1culos administrativos que a\u00fan est\u00e1n por llegar.
