El crecimiento de la organizaci\u00f3n ha superado mis expectativas y estoy encantada de informarles de que ya estamos oficialmente comprometidos a prestar servicios jur\u00eddicos a los trabajadores con salarios bajos a partir de este mes de agosto.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #f7cb49;\"><b>Nuestra Junta y Directivos<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Desde mi \u00faltimo correo electr\u00f3nico, varios l\u00edderes maravillosos se han unido a Mariko Yoshihara, nuestro primer miembro de la Junta, para ayudar a establecer el Centro de Derechos Laborales. En nuestra primera reuni\u00f3n de la semana pasada, Mariko fue elegida Presidenta de la Junta.  Lino Pedres, actualmente Presidente del Consejo Laboral Central de Sacramento y Vicepresidente en SEIU United Service Workers, ayudar\u00e1 a Mariko como Vicepresidente de la Junta.<\/p>\n<p>Nuestra secretaria, Lindsay Gold, es licenciada por la Facultad de Derecho de la UC Davis (King Hall) y abogada laboralista en ejercicio en la zona de Sacramento. Autumn Gonz\u00e1lez ha aceptado servir como nuestra Tesorera.  Es una abogada local que ha trabajado como organizadora, representante de campo y asesora para varios sindicatos.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, Scot Bernstein y Felix De La Torre tambi\u00e9n formar\u00e1n parte de la Junta. Scot, experto en la representaci\u00f3n de empleados en demandas colectivas, aporta una importante experiencia en litigios a nuestra nueva organizaci\u00f3n.  Reside en El Dorado Hills y tambi\u00e9n forma parte de la junta de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Abogados Laboralistas de California.<\/p>\n<p>Como consejero jefe de SEIU Local 1000, sindicato que representa a m\u00e1s de 95,000 empleados estatales, F\u00e9lix De La Torre ha demostrado un profundo compromiso con la mejora de las condiciones laborales en Sacramento y ayudar\u00e1 al Centro a hacer lo mismo.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #f7cb49;\"><b>Plan de lanzamiento<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>En los pr\u00f3ximos meses, el Centro espera conseguir un hogar f\u00edsico en Sacramento, reclutar voluntarios y dar otros pasos necesarios para garantizar que podamos prestar servicios jur\u00eddicos y de defensa de calidad.  Con un poco de suerte (y mucho trabajo duro) esperamos invitarle a una gran celebraci\u00f3n de inauguraci\u00f3n en agosto.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #f7cb49;\"><b>Ay\u00fadenos a difundir la noticia<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Si le apetece hablar a todos sus amigos y familiares de esta nueva gran organizaci\u00f3n llamada Centro de Derechos Laborales, agradecer\u00edamos que nos ayudara a difundir nuestras buenas noticias.  Aunque no resida en la zona metropolitana de Sacramento, nos encantar\u00eda que organizara una reuni\u00f3n con sus amigos, familiares y colegas en la que pudi\u00e9ramos hacer una breve presentaci\u00f3n sobre la labor que esperamos realizar en favor de los trabajadores con salarios bajos. Nos encantar\u00eda que el Centro de Derechos Laborales fuera el tema de conversaci\u00f3n en las barbacoas de patio trasero este verano por toda California.
