New Year, New Location for the Workers’ Rights Clinic

On September 20, 2018 the Center for Workers’ Rights and Legal Aid at Work launched the 5th year of the Workers’ Rights Clinic with UC Davis Law School (King Hall) at its new location at the Department of Health Services building for the County of Sacramento on Florin Road.

This year, the clinic is staffed by 11 student volunteers, who are able to assist clients in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, and Arabic.  The move of the clinic from Woodland to Sacramento was done to increase the number of clients who attend the clinic in person.  At this first session, it was clear that this move served its purpose; the clinic served more than double the number of workers in person as had been helped at either the Woodland or Davis locations

The Center for Workers’ Rights thanks the Department of Human Assistance for their hospitality.  Although walk-ins can often be assisted, we highly encourage those seeking advice to make an appointment by calling out office at 916-905-5857.
